What is the Y's Men's Club?

The Green Bay Y's Men's Club is a Service Organization of the Green Bay YMCA which directs it's efforts to help preserve and maintain the buildings and property of YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya and Day Camp Wabansi.

In doing so, the club desires to help ensure the availability of camping programs and experiences for the youth of the Greater Green Bay and NE Wisconsin Area. It is our goal and intent that our children's, children have the opportunity to enjoy the many benefits of a YMCA Camping Experience.

The efforts of the club will focus around conducting several work weekends in which facility issues are addressed. Additional activities will include fund raising to support the financial requirements of the work weekends as well as cover the direct operational costs of the club.

The Club seeks to provide it's members opportunities for:

  • Leadership Development
  • Volunteerism
  • Socialization

The Opportunity to Give Something "Back" to YMCA Camps

The Club, under the professional leadership of the YMCA Camp Director, will seek to provide and annual operating plan and budget which will outline it's anticipated activities for the year.

Officers

Officers of the club, elected by majority at each annual meeting, shall include; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and YMCA Camp Representative. The Officer's of the club shall have the responsibility to review all key club matters, financial situations, and guide the decision making process for the club.

 
Annual Meeting

Shall be conducted at the conclusion of each program year at which time new officers for the upcoming year shall be elected. Other annual meeting activities may include; Recognition of club officers, Club accomplishments for past year, Financial statement.

 
Annual Plan

The development of the annual plan will be the primary responsibility of the officers of the club with feedback from the membership. The final plan shall be presented and approved by the general membership By October 1st of the new program year. This plan shall contain the following key elements:

Tentative Calendar of Events
Work Weekend Dates
Approved Fundraising Activities
Annual Meeting Date
Budget Plan
Meeting Schedule
Election of Officers
Roster of Active Club Members

 

Financial Responsibility

The Officers of the Club shall be charged with maintaining and communicating the financial condition of the clubs assets and liabilities. The Club's financial structure shall ensure the availability of funds to cover all direct operational expenses of the club and shall make provisions for financial security for the future. Significant financial decisions shall be communicated in advance and brought before the entire Club for approval.
