Our vision at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya is to develop leaders with strong character, environmental awareness, and outstanding moral values. The U-Nah-Li-Ya Wilderness Trip experience is more than your normal camping getaway; our specially trained wilderness counselors nurture camper growth by providing leadership opportunities and cultivating resiliency and compassion. Excursion Trips cover more than just breathtaking terrain and waterways, they are personal journeys that bring out the best each camper has to offer.
It is recommended but not required that campers have prior wilderness camping experience. These two-week camps are specialized adventure programs that fill up fast!
All campers on Excursion Trips must have completed a physical performed by a physician within 12 months prior to their trip. A copy of the completed physical form should be sent to: "YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya, Attn: Business Manager, 12101 Y Camp Rd, Suring WI, 54174" after registration.
Explore a rugged, isolated island, far from the sights and sounds of civilization. Over 200 square miles of unparalleled solitude and adventure for backpackers as they hike ridges, valleys, and rocky shorelines. This trip is becoming a tradition at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya, including a celebratory banquet upon return.
