Extreme Teen Adventures cover more than breathtaking terrain and waterways, they are personal journeys that bring out the best in each camper. These adventures are specially tailored entry-level trips that are perfect for the beginning camper, but they fill up fast!

Sandstone cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls, forest, and shoreline await you at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Hiking, camping, and sightseeing opportunities abound. The lakeshore hugs the Lake Superior shoreline for more than 40 miles. Lake Superior is the largest, coldest, and most pristine of all the Great Lakes.

Campers will get to experience the thrills of mountain terrain backpacking and climbing the Iron Mountain and Porcupine Mountain ranges. Campers spend 3 nights camping in the backcountry and hiking to some of Upper Michigan's most beautiful rock climbing destinations. They will learn the safety fundamentals of backpacking and climbing facilitated by our trained staff on beginner/less technical climbing routes.

This perennial river trip is excellent for the beginner camper. It starts on a slow-moving section of the river that passes through channels and islands that hold amazing campsites. The Namekagon has the perfect balance of calm, slow-moving water mixed with thrilling sections of rapids. Totaling about 35 miles of paddling, the trip gives campers a wilderness experience that can only be uncovered by canoe.
