Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya's Extreme Teen Adventure programs develop leaders with strong character, environmental awareness, and outstanding moral values. The U-Nah-Li-Ya Wilderness Trip Experience is more than your normal camping getaway; our specially trained wilderness counselors nurture camper growth by providing leadership opportunities and cultivating resiliency and compassion. Extreme Teen Adventures cover more than breathtaking terrain and waterways, they are personal journeys that bring out the best in each camper. These adventures are specially tailored entry-level trips that are perfect for the beginning camper, but they fill up fast!

Experience the highlights of our adventure program by whitewater rafting the mighty Peshtigo River, riding the miles of mountain bike trails Wisconsin has to offer, and camping out at a natural wilderness area.  This is great for getting a taste of what U-Nah-Li-Ya has to offer!

Whitewater Rafting Trip

Do you wonder what it would be like to ride down a river like a pro?  That’s just what this week is designed for!  Professionally guided trips down nationally recognized whitewater rivers will quench your thirst for adventure.

Sylvania Wilderness Canoe Trip

Perfect for the beginning tripper. Three days and two nights of canoeing, portaging, swimming, and fishing in the semi-remote Sylvania Wilderness of Michigan prepares campers for future adventure trips and gives them memories only camp can provide!

Pictured Rocks Backpacking Trip

Sandstone cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls, forest, and shoreline await you at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Hiking, camping, and sightseeing opportunities abound. The lakeshore hugs the Lake Superior shoreline for more than 40 miles. Lake Superior is the largest, coldest, and most pristine of all the Great Lakes.

Porcupine Mountains Backpacking and Climbing Trip

Campers will get to experience the thrills of mountain terrain backpacking and climbing the Iron Mountain and Porcupine Mountain ranges. Campers spend 3 nights camping in the backcountry and hiking to some of Upper Michigan's most beautiful rock climbing destinations. They will learn the safety fundamentals of backpacking and climbing facilitated by our trained staff on beginner/less technical climbing routes.

Namekagon River Canoe Trip

This perennial river trip is excellent for the beginner camper.  It starts on a slow-moving section of the river that passes through channels and islands that hold amazing campsites. The Namekagon has the perfect balance of calm, slow-moving water mixed with thrilling sections of rapids. Totaling about 35 miles of paddling, the trip gives campers a wilderness experience that can only be uncovered by canoe.
